The Canyon shake has deeper grooves to get it a bit more dimension much like a medium or jumbo split wood shake. Canyon shake color are the set on top. Gerard shake has a lower profile which tends to look more like a cedar shingle or 5X style wood shingle. Much like the wood used on the old Victorian homes built at the turn of the century.
